introduction

In recent years, the end-to-end text-to-speech synthesis (TTS) model based on sequence-to-sequence generation architecture has achieved great success in generating natural speech. In order to avoid frame-by-frame decreasing, unnatural TTS models, such as FastSpeech and FastSpeech2, are proposed to improve the speed of speech generation. However, vocabulary recognition is very important for TTS systems to generate highly natural speech, but most end-to-end TTS systems only use phonemes as input markers, ignoring the information of which vocabulary phonemes come from.

Previous studies used preset language words to embed phoneme sequences as the input of TTS system. However, because language information is not directly related to how words are pronounced, the embedding of these words hardly affects the improvement of TTS quality. In this paper, a word acoustic embedding method combined with TTS system is proposed. Experiments on LJSpeech data set show that the acoustic embedding of words significantly improves the likelihood of prosodic prediction of sonic level on training set and verification set. The subjective evaluation of the naturalness of synthesized audio shows that the system with acoustic word embedding is obviously superior to the pure TTS system and other TTS systems with preset word embedding.

End-to-end speech synthesis method based on acoustic word embedding

Part1: end-to-end speech synthesis

In this paper, FastSpeech2 is selected as the acoustic model, but prosody modeling is not explicitly considered, which makes it difficult to objectively evaluate the prosody prediction performance of TTS system without subjective listening test. Based on this, a phoneme-level prosodic prediction module is introduced into the model, which can predict the prosodic embedding distribution of each phoneme autoregressively. Compared with the standard Fastspeech2 system, it can not only improve naturalness, but also allow the logarithmic likelihood of prosodic embedding to easily and objectively evaluate the prosodic prediction performance at phoneme level, as shown in Figure 1.

Part2: Acoustic Word Embedding

Nowadays, most popular TTS systems use phonemes as sound input markers, ignoring the information of which vocabulary phonemes come from. However, vocabulary recognition is very important for TTS system to generate highly natural speech. In this paper, acoustic word embedding is proposed to synthesize natural speech, and a word encoder and a word phoneme aligner are introduced into the traditional TTS system. The architecture is shown in Figure 2.

Experimental setup and results

1. Experimental setup

The TTS model in this paper is based on Fastspeech2 (GMM prosodic modeling). The number of Gaussian components in GMM is set to 20, and Adam optimizer and Noam learning rate scheduling strategy are used for TTS training. The researchers used 320mel-spectrogram as acoustic features, with a frame shift of 12.5ms and a frame length of 50 ms.. MelGAN is used as vocoder to reconstruct waveform.

2. Word encoder architecture

The performance of three common word encoder structures is compared.

(1) None: the baseline of the word encoder is not used;

(2) BLSTM;: a layer of 512-dimensional bidirectional LSTM;

(3) Transformer: 6-layer 512-dimensional transformer module;

(4) Conv+Transformer: one layer of 1D-CNN with a core size of 3, followed by six layers of 512-dimensional Transformer module.

conclusion

In this paper, an innovative method of directly training acoustic embedding of words in TTS system is proposed. The phoneme sequence and the word sequence pass through two encoders respectively, which are used as the input of TTS system together, and then the two output hidden states are spliced together for phoneme-level prosodic prediction. Experiments on LJSpeech data set show that the superposition structure of convolution and Transformer is the best for word encoder. In addition, the selection of word frequency threshold should be cautious, too large or too small threshold will lead to performance degradation. Finally, this paper compares the proposed system with several works that do not use the baseline of lexical information and use pre-trained words to embed. The subjective listening test shows that the system proposed in this paper is superior to all other systems in naturalness.

  Iraq’s Ahdab Oilfield Project, located in Kut, Wasit Province, 180 kilometers southeast of Baghdad, is the first foreign oil cooperation project in which China enterprises participated after the war in Iraq. In 1997, China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "China Petroleum"), China Ordnance Industry Group Corporation and Iraqi Petroleum Marketing Company jointly established Oasis Petroleum Co., Ltd., which was responsible for the construction and development of Ahdab Oilfield. This project is the first project of China Petroleum in the Middle East. Affected by many factors, the project was restarted in November 2008 after being stranded for 12 years.

  Since its inception in 2009, the project team has adopted the world-leading patented technology of harmless treatment of waste mud to treat drilling and workover mud in oil fields, becoming the first oil field project built by an international oil company in Iraq, which integrates the treatment and production of oil, gas, water, electricity, liquefied petroleum gas and sulfur, with the most complicated treatment process and the most complete system. "The project insists on advanced treatment of acid waste gas to produce sulfur with a purity of over 99.99%, which greatly reduces the impact on the environment and benefits more than 1.4 million local people in Iraq, which is of great significance to the green environment construction in the oil region."   From 2009 to the end of 2022, the waste liquid and waste residue produced in the process of drilling and workover of 401 wells have been treated in a centralized and harmless way, and the accumulated investment has exceeded 60 million US dollars, which has created a precedent in the history of drilling and environmental protection in Iraq.

  In 2018, a Green Action Team was set up in Ahmedabad Oilfield, all of which were composed of Iraqi employees. It was responsible for publicizing the concept of green environmental protection, laws and regulations, safety production and other related knowledge to local people, collecting local people’s opinions and demands on the environment of the oil region, and further achieving the goal of environment-friendly development. At the beginning of February this year, some residents in the oil area reported the situation to the external operation coordination department of the oil field. The villagers were about to carry out channel dredging operations in the cultivated land area, fearing that they would encounter underground pipelines, and took the initiative to seek help from the oil field in advance. "After receiving the reflected situation, we rushed to the scene at the first time. After confirming the location of the underground pipeline, we contacted the ground engineers and technicians in time to guide the operation, and took pipeline protection measures to assist the local villagers to successfully complete the ditch dredging operation and avoid the phenomenon of destroying the underground pipeline." Abid said.

  "In addition to our daily work, we will also collect white garbage such as plastic bags and mineral water bottles in the oil area and send them to the garbage dumping station for centralized treatment." According to Abid, over the past five years, the Green Action Team has collected more than 360 vehicles of white garbage to keep the clean environment of the oilfield operation area, which has been well received by the local people.

  At the same time of oilfield development and construction, the project allocates special funds from oilfield operation funds every year as the construction funds of social public welfare projects, and carries out public welfare projects in the fields of medical care, transportation, education, sports, electric power facilities, etc., actively promoting local economic development and helping to improve the living standards of local people.

  By the end of February this year, the oil field had produced more than 61 million tons of crude oil, and all the oil and gas were exported normally, which created a stable and considerable economic income for Iraq, trained a large number of local young technical talents, created more than 5,000 direct or indirect employment opportunities for the local area, and helped local community residents to obtain sustainable development opportunities and improve their lives from the source, thus building a mutually beneficial and win-win development strategy. During the development and construction period, the project has driven many China engineering technology and construction service teams to enter the Iraqi market, and most of the oilfield equipment comes from China.

  Mohammad Jamir, governor of Wasit province where the oil field is located, said that the Ahdab oil field project has opened a new journey for Wasit province to become a modern industrial city, and the urban landscape has been greatly improved, with no potholes and dusty roads, and the concept of green development is more deeply rooted in people’s hearts.

Recent monitoring in Guangzhou shows that acute respiratory infectious diseases mainly caused by influenza and mycoplasma pneumoniae are active, and respiratory infections caused by rhinovirus, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus and other common respiratory pathogens are intertwined. In particular, the level of influenza activity has increased significantly. At present, influenza A (H3N2 subtype) and influenza B (Victoria strain) are prevalent at the same time, and influenza is gradually entering the winter epidemic period.

Influenza is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by influenza virus. Influenza patients and recessive infected people are the main sources of influenza infection, and the transmission route is mainly droplet transmission, but also through direct or indirect contact with mucous membranes such as mouth, nose and eyes.

The incubation period is 1-4 days, and the acute onset is mainly manifested as fever (high fever can occur in some cases, reaching 39-40℃), cough, sore throat, headache, myalgia and general malaise, and there may be symptoms such as chills, chills, aches and pains in muscles and joints all over the body, fatigue and loss of appetite. Some patients may be accompanied by vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea, which are more common in children.

Influenza patients generally have a good prognosis. After 3-4 days of onset, their body temperature gradually subsides and their systemic symptoms improve. However, children, the elderly, people with basic diseases, obese people and pregnant women are prone to develop into severe diseases after infection, so they should be treated promptly.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae

Mycoplasma pneumoniae is the smallest known microorganism that can live independently between bacteria and viruses. It is mainly transmitted by droplets and direct contact, and the population is generally susceptible, especially in children and adolescents over 5 years old. Usually, when the seasons change, for example, when summer turns to autumn or autumn turns to winter, there may be local and short-lived clustering epidemics.

The incubation period is 2-3 weeks, and the main symptoms are similar to those of most respiratory diseases, with fever and cough as the main symptoms. Generally, the cough is severe, and it may last for 1-2 weeks after the fever has gone down. After children are infected with mycoplasma, most of them show upper respiratory tract infection, a small number of them are lower respiratory tract infection (possibly bronchitis or pneumonia), and a small number of them may develop into severe mycoplasma pneumonia.

Generally speaking, after mycoplasma infection, there will be no repeated infection in a short period of time (1-2 months). It should be noted that if the symptoms of infection recur, it is often that the last mycoplasma pneumoniae infection did not heal, and the local lesions were not completely removed and secondary infection occurred.

At present, there is no vaccine to prevent mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. If you have fever accompanied by severe cough, you should see a doctor in time, find out the cause as soon as possible, standardize the treatment, and avoid using drugs blindly.

Respiratory syncytial virus

Respiratory syncytial virus is a common and highly contagious RNA virus. Spread through droplets and close contact, or spread through contaminated hands and surfaces.

The incubation period is usually 2-8 days, and detoxification can last for 1-3 weeks. Patients often have upper respiratory symptoms after infection, and the typical symptoms of children infected with syncytial virus are fever, cough, stuffy nose and runny nose. The typical symptoms of adult infection are very similar to the common cold, such as low-grade fever, cough, stuffy nose and runny nose.

Most patients’ symptoms will disappear spontaneously within 1-2 weeks, and a small number can develop into lower respiratory tract infection (i.e. bronchiolitis or pneumonia), which is more common in young infants. Clinical symptoms include cough and wheezing.

At present, there are no syncytial virus vaccines and special therapeutic drugs on the market in China. Syncytial virus can be repeatedly infected and easily spread at home, and infection can be prevented by strengthening personal protection and other measures.

Rhinovirus

Rhinovirus is one of the main pathogens causing the common cold. Mainly through direct contact and droplet transmission; Infants, the elderly and immunocompromised people are susceptible to rhinovirus.

The incubation period is 2-5 days, and the clinical manifestations are mainly runny nose, sneezing, throat discomfort, nasal congestion, cough, mild sore throat, low or slightly elevated body temperature, often accompanied by sinusitis and otitis media. Although rhinovirus infection can gain immunity, it lasts for a short time, so people can be infected with rhinovirus repeatedly.

At present, there is no specific prevention and treatment method. The patient’s condition is generally self-limited, with mild symptoms and can be cured in a week or so.

adenovirus

Adenovirus is not a new virus, it is a common virus that causes respiratory infection in children, and it is the main cause of community-acquired pneumonia in children. It can spread through droplets, close contact and fecal-oral route, and can also spread through water. Babies over 6 months old, school-age children and immunocompromised people are the high-risk groups of adenovirus infection.

The course of disease is usually 5-7 days, but the symptoms may last for up to 2 weeks, which may be complicated with bacterial infection. Symptoms vary according to the affected parts, and may include: fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough, earache, conjunctivitis (also known as "red eye"), diarrhea and hoarseness.

Adenovirus infection is mostly self-limited and supportive treatment is adopted. Antiviral therapy is usually only used for severe adenovirus disease, and most of these patients have impaired immune function.

At present, there is no adenovirus vaccine in China, and the prevention of adenovirus infection mainly focuses on hygiene, especially hand hygiene.

How to scientifically prevent respiratory diseases in daily life?

1. Wash your hands frequently. Wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer and flowing water. Cover your mouth and nose with a handkerchief or paper towel when sneezing or coughing to avoid polluting your hands and the surrounding environment.

2. More ventilation. Keep the indoor air circulating, and generally ventilate 2-3 times a day at home in winter for about 30 minutes each time.

3. gather less. During the epidemic of infectious diseases in winter and spring, try not to go to crowded places and avoid contact with patients with respiratory diseases. It is recommended to wear masks when you need to go.

4. Drink plenty of boiled water. Keep the nasal mucosa moist, effectively resist the invasion of viruses, and also facilitate the excretion of toxins in the body and purify the environment in the body.

6. Vaccinate. Vaccine is an effective means to prevent related infectious diseases. For infectious diseases such as influenza, chickenpox and mumps, susceptible people can be prevented by vaccination in advance.

7. Once infected with infectious diseases in winter and spring, patients should take hospitalization or rest at home according to their illness and doctor’s advice, and avoid participating in group activities and entering public places during this period.   Our country’s high-performance computing machines have formed three series, namely Galaxy series, Dawning series and Shenwei series.


  Galaxy series


  In November 1983, our country’s first gigantic electronic computer named "Galaxy" was born at the National University of Defense Technology after five years. Its successful development announced to the world that China has become a country that can independently design and manufacture supercomputers after the United States, Japan and other countries.


  On November 19, 1992, the 1 billion supercomputer "Galaxy-II" developed by the National University of Defense Technology passed the national appraisal in Changsha, filling the gap of parallel supercomputers for large-scale scientific engineering computing and large-scale data processing in our country.


  On June 19, 1997, the "Galaxy-III" parallel supercomputer developed by the National University of Defense Technology passed the national appraisal in Beijing. The machine adopts a distributed shared storage structure for large-scale scientific and engineering computing and large-scale data processing. The basic word length is 64 bits, and the peak performance is 13 billion times. The machine has a number of technologies that are leading in China, and the comprehensive technology has reached the current international advanced level.


  Dawn series


  Dawning I In October 1993, Dawning successfully launched the first SMP structure computer – "Dawning I". It can be widely used in banking, insurance, accounting, taxation, post and telecommunications, transportation and government departments for large-scale transaction processing. Dawning I is a major achievement of our country’s "863 plan", which marks that our country has mastered the world’s advanced level of designing and manufacturing symmetrical tightly coupled parallel machines that support multi-threading mechanisms, and shortens the gap between our country and foreign countries in parallel processing technology.


  Dawning 1000 was developed in May 1995. It is the first set of large-scale parallel computer system independently developed in China, and its peak computing speed reaches 2.50 billion times per second. It used Mesh network for the first time and developed Wormhole routing chip for the first time. It is the first company to develop advanced parallel operating systems based on message passing, practical parallel optimization compilers and parallel file systems. All use parallel programming, debugging tools and environments, and the whole has reached the international advanced level in the early 1990s. Some technologies such as cavity communication chip design and parallel optimization compilation have reached the international leading level.


  Dawning 2000-I Super Server, a major project of the National 863 Program undertaken by the National Intelligent Computer Research and Development Center in the first half of 1998, was successfully developed and passed the national appraisal. Its peak computing speed is 20 billion floating-point operations per second, supports mainstream operating systems and parallel programming environments, and has the characteristics of a single image. It is oriented towards scientific engineering computing. Although this project is a high-end product, it has upward and downward scalability, so it is expected to develop into a high-performance computer product series. Dawning 2000-I meets part of the domestic demand for MPP systems, which in turn promotes the development of large-scale scientific engineering computers and large-scale transaction processing in our country.


  Shuguang 2000-ⅱ Super Server, developed by the National Intelligent Machine Research and Development Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has passed the expert appraisal organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Beijing. It has made a major breakthrough in the key technology and productization of super servers, reaching the advanced level of international congeneric products in the late 1990s, and has entered the international leading ranks in cluster operating systems. Its peak floating-point operation speed is 110 billion times per second, the total memory capacity reaches 50 gigabytes, which can be expanded to 80 gigabytes, and the total disk capacity exceeds 600 gigabytes, which can be expanded to several gigabytes. It has an advanced cluster architecture, consisting of 82 node computers, and the total number of processors reaches 164. Dawning 2000-II has a rich and complete software system. Our country has developed a powerful cluster operating system, equipped with a variety of popular high-level programming languages, mainstream parallel programming environments and tools. In order to support network information services, the machine is equipped with parallel network and email service software, and can support various popular database software. working processor.   Shenwei ⅰ computer system


  In August 2000, our country’s self-developed high-performance computing machine, Shenwei I, with a peak computing speed of 384 billion floating-point results per second, was put into business operations. After the United States and Japan, our country has become the third country with the ability to develop high-performance computing machines. The system ranks 48th among the top 500 high-performance computing machines in commercial operation in the world today.


  This scalable large-scale parallel computing system named Shenwei ⅰ computer system, the main technical indicators and performance have reached the international advanced level, is our country’s major scientific research achievements in the development and application field of giant computers, thus breaking the restrictions of some Western countries in the field of high-performance computing machines to our country.


  The application scope of Shenwei ⅰ computer system mainly involves meteorological and climate, aerospace, information security, oil exploration, life sciences and other fields. During the practice run, Beijing high-performance computing application center has successfully developed a number of practical large-scale application software based on Shenwei ⅰ computer system. Preliminary statistics show that the utilization rate of Shenwei ⅰ computer system has reached more than 60%, and it is playing an active role in the field of national economic construction. For example: the ensemble numerical weather forecast system developed in cooperation with our country’s meteorological bureau can complete 32 samples and 10-day global forecasts within 8 hours; the human gene cloning system developed in cooperation with the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has completed the cloning operation of human heart genes and achieved the results of reaching the international advanced level.


  According to reports, the first Shenwei I was put into use at the Beijing high-performance computing application center, and the second will be put into operation at the Shanghai Supercomputer Center.

2,700 layoffs, losses 6 billion, NIO has no future?

By the end of 2022, NIO had a total of 26,763 employees. On November 3, NIO Chairperson and CEO Li Bin said in a letter to all NIO employees that about 10% of positions would be reduced, meaning that about 2,700 people would be laid off.

On August 29, 2023, NIO announced the second quarter financial report. The financial report shows that the revenue decreased by 14.8% year-on-year to 8.7717 billion yuan, the gross profit decreased by 93.5% year-on-year to 87 million yuan, the net loss 6.0558 billion yuan increased by 119.6% year-on-year, and the adjusted net loss was 5.4457 billion yuan, an increase of 140.2% year-on-year. The layout of NIO’s charging and swapping network and stores has undoubtedly improved the car experience of NIO owners and expanded the influence of NIO, but many people believe that the construction and operation costs of NIO swapping stations are too high, and the global rollout takes up a lot of money.

The author has personally experienced the second and third generation of NIO power station, and the average power change time is only 3-5 minutes. No matter how fast the overcharge speed is, it is impossible for them to fully charge a 75KW/h and 100KW/h battery within 3 minutes at this stage, and the charging time will even be extended due to the instability of the charging pile voltage. If there is no revolutionary breakthrough in power battery technology, the charging speed of the power station cannot be shaken.

The power station takes up most of NIO’s resources, but it also brings a lot of convenience to users, and at this stage, the power station and the overcharge complement each other, and it is far from the day when the winner will be decided.

NIO’s predicament today is mainly caused by high prices and low sales.

At present, NIO’s product system has covered many aspects such as cars, SUVs, coupe SUVs, station wagons, etc. It is the car company with the most models and the widest layout among the three car companies of "Wei Xiaoli". Friends who are familiar with NIO know that the price of its models is generally high. If it were not for the price reduction of NIO ES6 and NIO ET5 and ET5T, NIO’s cars would not be lower than 300,000 at all, especially NIO ES8 high-end models. Correction is approaching 600,000.

The advantage of many models and high prices is that it has cut into a more subdivided market, stabilized NIO’s high-end brand perception, but also entered the sphere of influence of traditional luxury brands and emerging brands such as Tesla.

NIO ET5 and ET5T priced at 29.8-356,000 yuan have no advantage over Tesla Model 3 and BMW 3 Series in price, and belong to the level of half a catty to eight taels in control and comfort.
