CCTV News:According to the official measurement by China Seismological Network, at 9: 48 last night (May 21st), an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred in Yangbi County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with a focal depth of 8 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 25.67 degrees north latitude and 99.87 degrees east longitude.
According to the China Seismological Network, as of 8: 00 this morning (May 22), there were still aftershocks in the area. Yang Guozong, secretary of the Dali State Party Committee, said that there were obvious earthquakes in 12 counties and cities in the whole state.
In addition, Kunming, Baoshan, Lijiang and other places in Yunnan, as well as neighboring Panzhihua and Liangshan, have obvious earthquakes.
A press conference was held in Dali this morning. According to preliminary statistics, as of 6: 00 this morning, the Yangbi 6.4 earthquake in Yunnan killed three people, including two in Yangbi County and one in yong ping. Another 28 people were injured. At present, 192 houses have collapsed.
